Ontario opens RV parks

Ontario’s phase 1 allows RV parks to open, with some restrictions. No guests, no weekend camping, and onsite facilities like the store and showers have to stay closed. But we can stay on your own site as long or as short as we want, we can visit other sites as long as there are no more than 5 people, and we can come and go from town to shop. After a year of of lockdown, whiling away a weekend on the riverfront is just what the doctor ordered.

We have a trailer at Bruce’s Landing near Cayuga, Ontario. It must be struck every fall, everything in storage including the dock as the spring melt sends water over 20 feet up the bank most years. So the first order of business on opening day is…rebuild the dock.
